Whenever I can and feel the urge to unwind I rent a movie or three. Uhm, yes I still go to a store, choose a couple of DVD’s and pay for them. Very obsolete manner, I know, for someone who is otherwise pretty up to date when it comes to technology.
For the last two months I have been to the cinema three times. Last Saturday, I was feeling restless so I decided to see Inferno featuring Tom Hanks in the recurring role as professor Langdon. I have read all the books by Dan Brown and…and…I am speechless. The books are far beyond brilliant! When I finished the last book, I just felt ”Mr Brown, please return to the keyboard ASAP and start clattering. I need more of this.”
So I packed my little pillow which keeps my lumbar vertebrae at ease, some snack and a bottle of mineral water. The expectations were high and obviously the book is better, but in my opinion, the book was not that far behind.
121 minutes of impeccable performance, brilliant lines and great action. I love these highly intellectual movies where action meets hardcore facts and conspiracy theories. Cerebral exercise, sort of.It must have been great, my aching vertebrae kept quiet during the entire movie.👏
